Hello Beauties! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Fall weather! It doesn’t feel quite like Fall in Louisiana yet, but we’re finally in the mid 80’s! Today I want to share with you my everyday Fall makeup routine! Very simple and definitely wearable! Let’s get right into it!

To prime my face I used the Laura Mercier foundation primer (which is amazing by the way!) I followed that with the Maybelline Baby Skin primer (for my extra oily skin). Next, I used the LA Girl Pro orange corrector to cover my dark spots. For foundation I used the Makeup Forever HD Foundation followed by the MAC Studio Finish powder to set my entire face! To highlight under my eyes and T-zone I used the Maybelline Fit Me concealer and set to that I used the MAC Prolong Wear loose foundation (another amazing product). For contour I used the Kat Von D contour kit.

On to the eyes! To prime my eyes I used the LA Girl Pro Concealer in toffee and set them with Creme Brulee by Makeup Geek (MUG). I then used Cocoa Bear by MUG in the crease and used a golden bronze shadow from the Morphe 35OS palette. For the brow bone highlight I used Creme Brulee by MUG. For my eyeliner I used the dark brown liquid liner by ELF (the BEST). For mascara I used the Wet-n-Wild waterproof mascara.

LIPS! For the lips I lined them with Nightmoth by MAC follow by Evening Rendevous (LE) by MAC. This is a limited edition lipstick, but the perfect dupe is Wet-n-Wild Raivin’ Raisin!

So this is my everyday fall makeup look guys! I am looking forward to the crisp air of fall because this is my favorite season! Stay tuned for more looks and inspiration!

My Summer Go-to Primers

Hi Beauties!

Today I want to share with you my summer go-to primers! Summer is definitely the hottest time of the year especially in Louisiana! It’s already 80 degrees at 7am! A good primer is essential to my very VERY oily skin. I cannot leave my house without primer! I have picked a few of my summer go-to primers that are my absolute holy grail! I use drugstore and high-end primers.

My-summer-go-to-primers-300x300 My Summer Go-to Primers

  1. Milk of magnesia. (not pictured) Yes…..MILK OF MAGNESIA. Don’t knock it until you try it! Plenty of bloggers and You-tubers swear by M.O.M. At first I didn’t believe how great it was. Let’s just say I wore this as a primer every single day last summer. It’s amazing! Don’t be afraid of how “pasty” it looks. Your foundation will cover it right up! It will dry matte and leave your skin shine free! Another bonus, you can buy the generic brand from the dollar store and it works just as well!
  2. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. I love this primer! For $4.99 it seriously fills your pores and leaves your skin looking flawless!
  3. ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer. ELF has a plethora of primers. I grabbed this one because a lot of people compare it to the Smashbox photo primer. I’ve never tried the Smashbox primer, but I can tell you the ELF primer is amazing and so lightweight!
  4. Makeup Forever Step 1 Base Hydrating Primer. One of my favorite high-end primers! It works like magic!
  5. Benefit The POREfessional Primer. Another one that works like magic!! This and the Maybelline Baby Skin is neck-n-neck!
  6. Hard Candy Sheer Envy Hydrating Primer Mist. This is a GREAT primer spray! It’s so soothing to the skin and definitely helps my makeup stick. It’s oil free, silicone free and alcohol free! What more could you ask for?

What are your favorite summer go-to primers? Let me know if you try any of the primers I’ve mentioned! Talk to you soon Beauties!

Everyday Red Lip PLUS Winged Eyeliner

Everyday-red-lip-plus-winged-eyeliner-300x300 Everyday Red Lip PLUS Winged Eyeliner

It’s F-R-R-R-R-I-D-A-Y! I have never been so happy to see Friday y’all! Today I want to share my everyday red lip plus winged eyeliner tutorial! This is a super easy yet super cute makeup look that can be worn on any occasion! Let’s get right into the tutorial!

Starting with the brows I used the ABH brow wiz and used the MAC prolong wear concealer in NC45. I then used Makeup Geek ‘Creme Brulee’ eyeshadow to set my browbone highlight. Here comes the easiest (yet difficult) part! I did not use any eyeshadow for this look. I simply created a wing by using my favorite ELF cream gel liner. I used the Rimmel kohl pencil to line my bottom waterline and smudged it out with a pencil brush to give it a slight smokey effect.

Next I applied my favorite Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I do NOT recommend the lashes I used which was a hair store brand in the #66 (double pack). They were very hard to apply. I will stick with my Ardell lashes from now on! For my face I primed with the Maybelline Baby Skin. To color correct I used the orange corrector by LA Girl. Next I applied the Revlon Colorstay foundation in ‘Cappuccino.’ To highlight I used ‘Toffee’ by LA Girl and set it with the MAC Mineralize loose face powder in dark. Next step is to BAKE BAKE BAKE! I usually bake for about 5 minutes. In the meantime I applied my contour with the Kat Von D Shade of Light palette. I set my entire face with the Covergirl Tru Match pressed powder.

For my highlight I used the ABH glow kit in ‘That Glow.’ I used the Sunburst shade. OMG it’s so beautiful! For blush I used ‘Mellow Wine’ by Wet-n-wild. For the lips I lined them with my Nicka K lipliner in red followed by the L’Oreal Exclusive Collections lipstick in ‘Freida’s Red.’ To set my entire face I used the ELF makeup mist and set spray!

I hope you beauties enjoyed this everyday red lip plus winged eyeliner tutorial! Have a great weekend!

xoxo

April Favorites

Hey Beauties! Happy belated Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful mothers! I hope you enjoyed your day (I surely did!) Can you believe it’s May already?! Today I want to share some of my April favorites! April went by super fast I can’t believe it! Let’s get right into my April favorites!

April-Favorites-300x300 April Favorites

  1. Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water ($6.99). LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff! I use it in the mornings to refresh and moisturize my skin. At night I use it to remove my makeup. It is seriously one of the best formulas I’ve ever tried! An added bonus, it doesn’t burn or sting especially around the eyes! It feels just like water!
  2. Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control 3-in-1 Foaming Wash ($6.99). I used this face wash a few years back and then stopped using it for a while. I picked it back up because other acne washes would dry my skin or irritate it which left room for break outs. I love this cleanser because it isn’t harsh on my skin and doesn’t leave it dry!
  3. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel ($18.99). I recently did a review on this stuff. Guys this is an AMAZING product. I would definitely buy this product over and over again. At first I was turned away by the price, but a little product goes a long way!
  4. MAC Mineralize Loose Powder in dark ($33.00). I have recently started purchasing more MAC products. I am so glad I got my hands on this loose powder. It’s actually a foundation, but I use it to set my highlighted areas. My under eye doesn’t crease and it lasts all day!
  5. Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumiere ($5). This has been my go-to lip for the last couple of months! It’s the perfect mauve/nude matte lipstick. A great thing is that it isn’t drying to the lips. I love to pair it with my MAC cork liner.
  6. Colourpop Brow Pencil in Black n’ Brown ($5). Okay, I LOVE this brow pencil! I have been reaching for it more than my ABH brow wiz. The most loving thing is the price!
  7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in That Glow ($40). This is one of the most beautiful palette of highlighters! Ladies if you can get your hands on it grab it while you can because it’s always sold out! I love Golden Bronze the most! It gives your skin such a beautiful and radiant glow!
  8. Wet n Wild Stipple Brush ($2.99). Wet-n-Wild came out with the most beautiful brushes! I actually own about 5 of the brushes, but the stipple brush is one of my favorites. It applies the makeup so well! I use it to apply my highlight or blush. It’s a steal for $2.99! They even have brushes for $1!
  9. Milani lip gloss (sorry I don’t know the name of the color) ($1). I bought this from the Dollar Tree. It’s such a beautiful brown toned lip gloss! It applies very smoothly. Once I get the name I’ll let you guys know!
  10. Wet-n-Wild nail polish in Lavender Creme ($1). I picked this baby up from my local Dollar Tree. It’s the perfect spring/summer color!
  11. Ruby Kisses HD Set n Forget Setting Powder in banana ($5.99). This is a great setting powder! Be careful not too apply too much because a little goes a long way! This is a great dupe for the Ben Nye powders.

So those are my April favorites guys! I hope you all will try the products! Comment and let me know what your current favorites are!

Favorite Colourpop Lipsticks Plus Swatches

Today I want to share my favorite Colourpop lipsticks! Everyone is raving about the Colourpop brand. I absolutely love their products. I own just a few, but mostly the ultra matte liquid lipsticks. I will eventually get into their eyeshadows because I know I’m missing out! The ultra matte lipsticks are great, but can be very drying. It’s best to prep your lips prior to wearing the lipstick. I use a homemade lip scrub using just coconut oil and brown sugar! Super easy DIY! After I wipe it off using a warm cloth I then moisturize my lips with my favorite lip balm which is Maybelline Baby Lips! It is very important to prep your lips prior to applying the lipstick because it will literally show your true lip state. Here are my favorite Colourpop lipsticks!

It’s not pictured here, but I also love Jellies. It’s a royal blue color. I have it on in this picture:

Beginners Makeup Guide

Beginners-Makeup-Guide-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

Hello lovelies! I’m so excited about today’s blog! A lot of people have requested a beginners makeup guide! I know many of you are on a budget (so am I!) and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on makeup. I have compiled a list of products I do believe every beginner should have! Some may want more or less. I’d say start small and as you become better with makeup application you can increase your collection! So, I will start at the beginners level then work up to intermediate and advanced in my future blogs! It’s so much fun to collect makeup, but also very pricey depending where you shop. The list I came up with will only cost you $64.59. On to my beginners makeup guide!

BM1-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

Everyone needs a decent mascara and eyeliner. The eyeliner can serve as your eyeliner and eyebrow pencil. I recommend the Wet-n-Wild Mega Plump mascara ($2.99) and Wet-n-Wild Coloricon eyeliner ($0.99). I reach for these two a lot. They are great quality for a very reasonable price.

BM7-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

Eyelid primer is a must! It helps your eyeshadow last longer and prevents creasing. The ELF eyelid primer is probably my holy grail! You can’t beat the price for only $1!

BM4-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

I would start off with a small drugstore palette. Milani has great palettes as well as Wet-n-Wild, Maybelline and Covergirl. Price-wise, Wet-n-Wild has the better deal. I love this Milani Earthy Elements palette ($8.99). You want to stick with neutrals because they are easier to apply.

BM8-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

Make sure to grab a face primer especially if you have combination/oily skin! Face primers help to minimize your pores. I love the Maybelline Baby Skin primer ($5.99).

BM6-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

Now on to foundation! There are so many drugstore foundations, but the one I reach for the most is the L’Oreal Infallible foundation ($11.99). It’s long lasting and such a quality drugstore foundation.

BM5-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

You have chosen a good foundation, so now you need a good pressed powder to set your foundation with! I recommend the Covergirl Tru Match powder ($8.99). It gives your makeup a flawless finish!

BM9-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

Hands down the LA Girl Pro Concealer ($2.99) is the best concealer EVER MADE. I reach for it more than any other drugstore/high end concealers. It hides my dark spots and blemishes very nicely.

BM3-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

You need a bronzer to add some color and definition back into your face. The Rimmel Natural Bronzer ($4.99) is a great bronzer because it gives you the right amount of color without going over the top.

BM2-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

Blush! Choose a blush that compliments a natural look. I recommend the Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore ($6.97). It looks good on every skin tone! Milani also has other great colors.

BM10-300x300 Beginners Makeup Guide

I would also start off with a lip gloss or lip stain. I would even go as far as getting lipstick, but if you want to keep it simple then I recommend the NYX butter gloss in Creme Brulee ($2.99). This is the PERFECT natural color. Did I mention it smells like cake? If you want to purchase lipstick I would go for a nude color (for daytime) and a bolder color (for evening/nighttime). I recommend the Wet-n-Wild Megalast lipstick in Bare It All ($1.99) for your nude color. For evening/nighttime I would go for the Wet-n-Wild Megalast lipstick in Vamp It Up or Sugar Plum Fairy.

It’s not individually pictured, but you should invest in a makeup setting. My absolute holy grail is the ELF makeup mist setting spray ($3). It’s amazing and great quality for such a low price!

There you have it beauties! My ultimate beginners makeup guide. I hope this will help you start your fabulous makeup journey. Any questions please feel free to comment!

xoxo

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Review

Neutrogena-Hydro-boost-300x300 Neutrogena Hydro Boost Review

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost line has to be one of the best products I’ve used in a very long time! I would NEVER share products with you all that I have not tested first. I don’t mean test it once or twice, but over a course of a month or so. I have added these products to my nightly routine! I LOVE it. At first I was like, okay I don’t believe the hype. I used it the first couple of nights I said, okay, not bad. Used it for a few weeks and I can honestly say way to go Neutrogena! I have the hydro boost water gel and the eye cream. I have really been into eye creams lately mainly because I don’t get much sleep. I wanted to share the Neutrogena Hydro Boost review with you all in case you’re really into skin care products and really need something to hydrate that beautiful skin!

Let’s talk about the eye cream first. Now I won’t lie, the prices are a little high. The eye cream cost $18.99. Would I say the price is worth it? Probably not. Yes, it is a great product, but is it really worth $20? That’s probably one of my cons. However, the product itself is amazing. Even though I have oily skin my skin tends to get dehydrated even during the warmer months. I love the gel-like consistency of the eye cream. A little definitely goes a long way. It also has a cooling sensation which is amazing. As I stated earlier I apply this product at night and feel very refreshed in the morning. It does not burn or sting around the eye area.

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. It just may be my FAVORITE product. This product is also $18.99. Is it worth it? Maybe bring it down to around $12 or $13 Neutrogena. However, an AMAZING moisturizer! It is so easy to apply, very lightweight and feels great to the skin. A little goes a long way with this product so I definitely see it lasting for quite a while! It’s so smooth and creamy! I highly recommend this product for all skin types. If you want something to rejuvenate your skin then this product is for you! If you don’t want to pay $40 for the set I completely understand! Seriously, it’s a great product. If you decide to try it let me know how you like it!

Get yours here!

Orange Spring Makeup

Orange-Spring-Makeup-300x300 Orange Spring Makeup

Welcome back Beauties and HAPPY FRIDAY! Today’s post will feature an orange spring makeup look! This color is so appropriate and so beautiful for the spring! This look will feature the oh so infamous MAC Lady Danger! Want a dupe? Try Milani Matte Passion. Let’s get into this makeup look!

For the brows I used Anastasia Beverly Hill dipbrow pomade in dark brown. To highlight my brow bone (top and bottom) I used the LA Girl Pro concealer in toffee. On my eyes I reached for one of my favorite palettes which is the Naked 2 palette. First I used MAC painterly paint pot as a base. Next I used ‘YDK’ on the eyelids and swept Makeup Geek’s cocoa bear in the crease. On the outer V I used ‘Blackout’ and for the brow bone I used ‘Foxy.’ In the tear duct area I used ‘Half Baked.’ For my liner I used the ELF liquid eyeliner and the Rimmel kohl pencil on my bottom waterline. For mascara I used the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. For lashes I used the beauty store lashes (double pack) in #46.

To prime my face I used the Maybelline baby skin primer. To color correct I used the orange corrector by LA Girl. Next I used the Makeup Forever HD foundation and the Covergirl Tru Match pressed powder to set my foundation. For highlight and contour I used the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 30 cafe and the Black Radiance pressed powder to contour. To set my highlight I used the Ben Nye banana powder. For the extra highlight I used MAC Gold Deposit. For blush I used the Wet-n-Wild Mellow Wine blush. I set my entire face with the ELF setting spray.

For my lips I lined them with the Wet-n-Wild liner in ‘Brandy Wine.’ Last, but surely not least, I used the MAC Lady Danger lipstick! I hope you all enjoyed this orange spring makeup tutorial! I’m so excited about what Beautifully Tanisha Marie will be doing in the months to come! Keep sending your questions, comments and concerns Beauties!

Favorite Springtime Blush

Favorite-Springtime-Blush-300x300 Favorite Springtime Blush

HELLO Beauties!

Today I want to share my favorite springtime blush! I love wearing the pink, rosy and coral colors! I’ve actually purchased a new blush and completely fell in love with it! Some people often wonder which color blush to choose especially with lipstick. I often choose my blush according to the lipstick color. For example, if I’m wearing an orange or coral lip, I will choose a coral/orange toned blush. Or if I’m wearing a pink/red lip I’ll choose a pink/mauve toned blush. I think it balances out the look and gives it a beautiful finish! On to my favorite springtime blush!

  1. MAC blush in ‘Peaches‘ I LOVE this blush! This was actually the first blush I’ve purchased from MAC. It looks beautiful on every skin tone and is definitely WOC friendly!
  2. Milani Baked Blush in ‘Berry Amore’ This is such a beautiful blush! I has a little highlight in it, but nothing major! It’s a beautiful blush you can wear year round!
  3. Sephora cream blush in ‘All Smiles‘ This is such a beautiful coral blush. It has a red undertone to it so you don’t need much! I only own one cream blush which is this one. It is really easy to use!
  4. Wet-n-Wild blush in ‘Mellow Wine‘ This is my everyday blush! I reach for this blush more than any other! It literally goes with every type of look!
  5. Last, but definitely not least…Milani powder blush in ‘Coral Cove‘ Beautiful. Just beautiful! This is my newest blush and I’m in love! It blends beautifully into the skin! I can’t wait to buy more Milani blushes!

Skin Care Routine

Skin-Care-Routine-1-300x300 Skin Care Routine

Hello Beauties!

Today I want to share my current skin care routine. Since I’ve started blogging I’ve been wearing a lot of makeup. Wearing a lot of makeup could be very overwhelming to the skin. I have to be very careful because I have acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin.

My skin care routine changes overtime so I’m giving you guys my current routine! I have to change constantly until I find what works the best for me. Since I had a baby (7 months ago) my skin has definitely changed. Between nursing and the different hormonal changes my skin breaks out even more. This isn’t a tutorial because everyone has different needs for their skin, but this is just to show you how I control my breakouts and keep them at a bare minimum. I usually don’t break out. The only thing I’m really dealing with is the hyper pigmentation (dark spots). So here’s my skin care routine!

In the morning I always start by rinsing my face with cool water. Some may prefer hot water, but cool water feels very refreshing! I don’t do much to my face in the morning. After I rinse with cool water I take a cotton swab and hydrate my face with the Simple Micellar Cleansing Water. This stuff is amazing! It’s a very gentle facial cleanser. I love it the most because it contains no harsh chemicals, perfumes, or dyes. My skin feels so refreshed after I use it. After the micellar water I use the Clean & Clear Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer to moisturize my face. It’s lightweight and oil-free which is perfect for my skin. This simple morning routine preps my face for the day!

Now to my nightly routine! This is where I focus mostly on my skin. Taking makeup off doesn’t have to be stressful. I use two things to remove my makeup. Baby wipes (fragrance free) and coconut oil. Any type of oil will do! Take the oil and rub your entire face and neck with it. Wipe off by using the baby wipes! I am telling you this is probably the easiest way to remove your makeup! It’s even safe to use the baby wipes around your eyes because it doesn’t burn! I also use the Bolero facial wipes to remove my makeup. Once again these are great because they are not harsh to the skin! I can also use them around my eyes. They contain argan oil and shea butter and has no harsh chemicals in them! I have no idea why this brand is unpopular! When I google Bolero only one picture came up. I found them at my local Dollar Tree and fell in LOVE! Most eye makeup removers burn your eyes, even if they are for the eyes (which is insane). After I use the coconut oil I use my daily facial scrub which is the Yes to Grapefruit Correct & Repair Daily Facial Scrub. Love this stuff! I use this product along with my electronic scrub brush which came with my Proactiv set. I love this brush because it gets deep into your pores and removes dirt. If you don’t own the Proactiv brush then I would recommend the Clarisonic Mia 1 Facial Sonic Cleansing System. I use an eye cream to hydrate my under eye. My recommendation is the Advanced Night Repair Eye’ Synchronized Recovery Complex II. It leaves the under eye with the most cooling/refreshing feeling ever!

Weekends is my time for pampering and going the extra mile for myself! I use a facial mask once a week. This particular mask can be worn while you’re sleeping! This is the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Facial Sleeping Mask Honeydew & Chamomile. This mask DEEPLY hydrates your skin overnight! I know many of you are wondering what mess you’ll have on your pillow. No mess! No dirty/messy pillow. It dries into your skin like a cream and all you have to do is rinse it off in the morning. One final component to my skin care routine is water water water! Water is essential to having healthy and vibrant skin! Also adding a daily workout to your routine will have you feeling wonderful inside and out!

Let me know your skin care routine! Do you have normal-to-dry, combination or oily skin? Any hyper pigmentation? Rosacea? Leave your comments in the comment section!
